Do Svalbard Citizens Need a Visa to Vietnam?

Svalbard citizens are REQUIRED to get a valid visa to enter Vietnam for either tourism or business purpose.

To visit Vietnam, travelers with Svalbard passports should meet the entry requirements:

  • Svalbard passport should be valid for at least 6 month following arrival date in Vietnam;
  • Svalbard passport has at least 2 blank pages.

Note: Visitors from Svalbard traveling to Vietnam by air are recommended to apply for a Vietnam visa on arrival since there is no Vietnam embassy in this country.

How to Apply for Vietnam Visa for Svalbard Citizens?

Svalbard citizens and passport holders can choose one of the following two methods to apply for a Vietnam visa:

There is no embassy/consulate of Vietnam in Svalbard up to now.
